I can’t believe I’m actually saying that!! Summer is officially over and so we move into our newest season of the year here in the UK. I honestly thought I had only JUST put my de-icer away!! I’ll most likely have to stock up as there could be a few cold seasons ahead of us! The fact that we had a pretty mild summer, means I’m PRAYING for a pretty mild autumn and winter. Unfortunately for me, winter seems to drag on for AGES and for half a calendar year, but for others I know this is their favourite time of year. I think I just stress too much over how my car reacts with the icy temperatures as I don’t particularly want to be changing my car battery again this year!
I guess Autumn has some good things to look forward too, such as the cosy nights in, hot chocolates, Halloween makeup (I’m not so much a lover of the trick or treating part!), colour photography (as you can see from my picture to the right), and of course Christmas (dare I mention the C word!). Shops do in fact have their Christmas stuff out already, which is great to those of you who want to buy your bits and bobs early, but for those of you who want to keep Christmas in December and December only, you may not love it as much!
I recently bought two coats – one from the kids section in Primark (the joys of being small!) being more waterproof, and a smarter style of coat from the adult section so I feel like I’m prepared for all weathers this year. Summer hasn’t been terrible…we’ve definitely had a heatwave or two which enabled me to top up my tan before the sun soon disappears until next year, but Autumn definitely marks the start of cooler temperatures. There’s nothing better than the smell of bonfires, and the taste of sweet marshmallow though, that’s for sure.
Is there anything you guys are looking forward to as this new season starts? Are you one of the lucky ones where your Summer is only just beginning? Let me know in the comments where you are based around the world!
I’m off to see a concert on Sunday which I’m BUZZZZING about!! Will tell you more about it, and the experience, next Friday! 🙂
Have an awesome weekend!
